How it works

FULL TREATMENT PROTOCOL

Treatment Protocol

Follow this protocol for consistent, permanent odor elimination on every vehicle.

Clean & Detail the Vehicle

  • Thoroughly vacuum the entire interior including under seats, crevices, and the trunk.

  • Wipe down all hard surfaces — dashboard, console, door panels, visors (both sides), and windows.

  • Wash seatbelts and any fabric trim. Pay extra attention to the driver's side where odor buildup is typically heaviest.

  • Steam clean or shampoo carpets, floor mats, and upholstery including the trunk lining.

  • The treatment works best on a clean vehicle. CLO2 eliminates odor — it doesn't replace proper detailing.

Prepare the Interior

  • Pull and replace the cabin air filter (typically located under the dash or behind the glovebox on the passenger side).

  • Stand floor mats up on their ends to expose both sides.

  • Pull seatbelts out and hook them so the fabric stays extended and exposed.

  • Pull down both sun visors.

  • Open the center console, glovebox, and any dash storage compartments.

  • In the back seat, pull down any center armrest or drink tray. If there is a pass-through to the trunk, open that as well.

  • Move the vehicle to a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight — UV exposure breaks down CLO2 and will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. A garage or covered area is ideal for daytime treatments.

Activate & Treat

  • IMPORTANT: Before activating the kit, start the vehicle and set the HVAC to recirculate with the fan on. Leave the temperature neutral — no heat or A/C, just airflow. If you must set a temperature, 70–75°F is fine. Do not use cold air.

  • Place warning placards on the inside of the driver and passenger side windows to alert others that a treatment is in progress.

  • Place a small hand towel on the center armrest or console to act as a base.

  • Following the kit instructions, activate the packet with hot tap water, then place it in the provided container on top of the towel.

  • Turn off the vehicle, close the door, and seal the cabin. Do not reopen the vehicle during the treatment.

  • Make sure the vehicle is locked and all windows are fully closed.

Let It Work

  • For standard odors, allow 6+ hours of treatment time.

  • For heavy or stubborn odors (heavy smoke, pet saturation, mustiness), overnight treatment delivers the best results. Ensure the vehicle remains out of direct sunlight for the full duration — UV light will weaken the treatment.

  • The CLO2 gas will continue to penetrate every porous surface in the cabin — fabric, foam, carpet, headliner, and deep into the HVAC system.

  • If the vehicle has a remote start function, you can use it to run the HVAC on recirculate and circulate the gas through the ductwork without opening any doors. The HVAC should be run for no more than 15 minutes and can be done anytime after the first hour of treatment and up to one hour before treatment is complete.

Air Out & Deliver

  • [Only if your vehicle has remote start] Before airing out, start the vehicle and run the HVAC on recirculate one last time to push any remaining gas through the ductwork.

  • If you don't have remote start, simply open all doors and windows and allow the vehicle to air out for at least 15 minutes.

  • The CLO2 dissipates completely — zero residue, no cleanup required. Just clean air.

  • The vehicle is ready for sale, rental, or delivery.
